Check what you are upgrading
In-run moves and vitamins differ from the permanent Lab upgrades in community references. Read the exact name, price and current level in your own Lab before spending.
The community wiki distinguishes a fourth move slot from a fourth choice card. They solve different problems. Check older prices and unlock conditions against the current game.
Give the build one goal
Try a goal such as reaching Charmander’s level-24 evolution or clearing three tower waves. Record partner, mode, map and difficulty so the result can be compared later.
When a card appears, decide whether you need another attack, an owned move improvement or a stat effect. Read conditions and free slots. Community builds do not guarantee that all required choices will appear.
Use videos as examples
CD喜德’s beginner video covers starters and Lab questions; 聶寶’s short guide discusses upgrade order and item unlocks. Both retain creator links in our video shelf. Neither establishes an optimal order for every later patch.
There is no fabricated tier list or damage calculator here. Compare similar starting conditions and change one decision at a time.
